Chinese New Year around corner, enthusiastic voices discussing holiday plans and amount of ang paos received...and...the decorations committee's going...all out. Around my campus, that is, in FAS of UTAR. And here's some to share with you:
1st floor ceiling
Personally, these cherry blossoms looked and felt damned fake to me. Bad, cheap looking, people!
Foyer ceiling
Darlene popping into the picture
Year of the Dog, supposedly...papier mache with cheap goggles on the 2nd floor landing
Well...this is the best bit....to me
And the worst. Seriously, reminds me of those er, small town restaurants full of people hacking and coughing and karaoke and loud voices ordering drinks
Main entrance
We're a Chinese, Chinese campus, people! The entire building is full of cheap, ugly decors! I admire the effort...but this...some are fine, like the ceiling one (well, SOME) but mostly are OTT, like the sprayed paper-cut flowers stuck onto the walls.
I forgot to snap one with a fishnet on the ceiling with fishes hanging down together with...mutated jellyfishes..or squids, depending on which angle you're looking at. I'll try to remember to snap and post it up.
Sheesh.
